Bardia National Park

Bardia National park is situated in the mid far western Terai region of Nepal covering an area of 968 sq km, which was not hit by the 2015 earthquake. Bardia National Park is the largest national park and wilderness area in the Terai and offers excellent opportunities for wildlife-lovers. Untouched and unspoiled by the modern civilization, Bardia National Park is somewhat like Chitwan National Park 25 years ago.

About 30 species of mammals live here including the most elusive royal Bengal tiger, one-horned rhinoceros, sloth beer, blue bull, wild elephants etc. Bardia national park has more than 250 species of birds as well, including the endangered Bengal florican, sarus crane, yellow-throated Marten, Mongoose and Indian Otter. This national park is also home to various water animals such as gharial and marsh mugger crocodiles, various species of fish and gangetic dolphins. Bardia National Park also has various wild species and abundant flora and fauna for nature lovers.
